There are endless options to entertain oneself in Baltimore, ranging from live music to sports events and museums. Most visitors would start their stay in 'Charm City' with a stroll to the Inner Harbour, and here one can find out all that is happening around the city. There are many museums and restaurants. There is also the waterfront Pier Six Concert Pavilion. Also one can hear some great classical music at the Peabody Institute. The Baltimore Symphony performs regularly at the Oregan Ridge Park in Cockeysville in Baltimore County during the summertime. This outdoor venue is adorable and one can enjoy the great music in a serene atmosphere. The Lyric Opera House is where the Baltimore Opera Company can be seen in action. To the north west of the city, one can find the Pimlico Horse Racing Course, and other sporting areas like the Volleyball House in nearby Columbian and for some serious swimming, head out to Annapolis for a fresh swim at the Arundel Olympic Swim Centre. You will find the home of the Baltimore Orioles baseball team at the downtown Camden Yards. And at the PSINet Stadium, you can cheer on the Ravens playing some rough and tumble American Football. Both stadiums are only a small stroll away from the Inner Harbour and the downtown Business district. |
